Gila Almagor Agmon (Hebrew: גילה אלמגור אגמון; born Gila Alexandrowitz; July 22, 1939) is an Israeli actress, film star, and author. In Israel, she is known as "queen of the Israeli cinema and theatre".
Gila Almagor was born in 1939 in Haifa, Palestine [now Israel]. She is known for her roles in Munich, The Summer of Aviya and Under the Domim Tree, among others. She is also a writer and producer of books and films.

She is the president and one of the initiators of the International Film Festival of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, first held in Spring, 2002. Almagor is also the founder of the Gila Almagor Wishes Foundation, a non-profit organization which works for the welfare of children with terminal diseases.
Gila Almagor, the grande dame of Israeli cinema, is a film, theatre, and television actress; an author, screenwriter, playwright, and the 2004 recipient of the Israel Prize in the category of Film. Almgor started out in theatre at the age of 17 when she joined the Habima Theatre company and was cast in Thornton Wilder’s, The Skin of Our Teeth.
