Akira Nagoya (名古屋章, Nagoya Akira, 8 December 1930 – 24 June 2003) was a Japanese actor. Nagoya was an actor who specialized in playing comical roles. He is known for playing the role of Yūtarō Asahina in the tokusatsu superhero series Ultraman Taro.

After graduating from junior high school in 1949, he entered the Tokyo Broadcasting Company (NHK) training school as a third-year student.

Biography. Akira Nagoya received his B.E. and M.E. degrees in electronic engineering, and his Ph.D. degree in informatics all from Kyoto University in 1978, 1980 and 2005 respectively. He joined the NTT Electrical Communication Laboratories in 1980.
