Robert Addie (1960-2003) was an English actor who starred as Sir Guy of Gisbourne in Robin of Sherwood. He was also a polo player, a former competitive archer and the stepson of Jack Williams, a polo developer and royal friend.
As in the legend, Robin is opposed by the Sheriff of Nottingham (Nickolas Grace) and Guy of Gisburne (Robert Addie), as well as the Sheriff's brother Abbot Hugo (Philip Jackson) (representing all the greedy abbots in the legends).
