Kais al-Zubaidi (Arabic:قيس الزبيدي), also spelled Qais Al-Zubaidi or Kays Al Zbaide, is an Iraqi-born director, writer and researcher in film theory and montage. In the 1960s, he studied both montage and photography at the Higher Institute of Cinema in Germany. [1]

Described by al-Zubaidi as a "film-poem", The Visit is a collage film composed of photographs and drawings; poetry by Palestinian poets Mahmoud Darwish, Samih al-Qasim and Tawfiq Ziad; and two acted scenes.
