Rune Waldekranz (14 September 1911 – 15 May 2003) was a Swedish film producer. He produced more than 50 films between 1942 and 1964. In 1969 at the 6th Guldbagge Awards, he won the award for Special Achievement. Selected filmography

Such is the case of the Swedish film historian Rune Waldekranz (1911–2003). Born only fifteen years after cinema came to Sweden, he shared with both Mitry and Sadoul the condition of being almost of the same age as the new medium.
Rune Waldekranz was born on 14 September 1911 in Turinge, Sweden. He was a producer and production manager, known for Sköna Helena (1951), Jungfrun på Jungfrusund (1949) and Kan doktorn komma? (1942). He died on 15 May 2003 in Södertälje, Stockholms län, Sweden.

Film historian Rune Waldekranz (1943: 132) wrote that Erotikon (Mauritz Stiller, 1920) provided a model for an “international” film style that he argued was defined primarily by an emphasis on “the fashionable, the witty, and the superficial.”
