  4. Jan 16, 2007 · Dan Gordon is a great example of a pure cartoonist. I don't know a heck of a lot about him. He was an animator, storyboard artist (writer) and director for the Fleischers and Famous studios in the 30s and early 40s.

  5. Dan Gordon was mainly active as an animator, but he has also done comic book art in the 1940s. He worked on many features for ACG titles, including 'Angelpuss', 'Blunderbunny', 'Bungle of the Jungle', 'Jitterbuck', 'Hep', 'Snooper', 'Superkatt' and 'Cookie' up until 1953.

  7. Jun 13, 2023 · John Kriscfalusi of Ren and Stimpy fame cites Dan Gordon as an influence. As wonderful as was Mr. Gordon’s comic book work, he is probably better remembered today as an animator. His work graced the cartoons from a who’s who of studios from the 30s through the 60s: Fleischer, MGM, Terrytoons, Van Beuren, and Hanna-Barbera to name a few.
