Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy (pronunciation ⓘ) is an Indian musical trio consisting of Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonsa. They have composed music for over 50 soundtracks across five languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi and English.
When Loy moved to Mumbai, he hooked up with Ehsaan and they started working together on jingles. Shankar used to sing for their jingles (Indian parts). He used to freelance as a singer with several music composers, and then launched his first album 'Breathless'.
