While still at Berklee, Jacob worked with vibraphonist Gary Burton, but left Boston to tour with Maynard Ferguson through 1992. Jacob served as performer, writer, and arranger with Ferguson's band. This led to Ferguson producing Jacob's first piano trio record, featuring John Patitucci and Peter Erskine. [2]
Christian Jacob (Concord Jazz) Pianist Christian Jacob is a wonderful player whose crystalline melodies and expansive harmonies mark him as someone to keep an ear on. Although raised in France, it wasn't until arriving in the States that things started happening. There were tenures with Maynard Ferguson and Gary Burton.
