Mario Andreacchio (born January 1 1955) is an Australian director, producer and screenwriter who studied science before transferring to psychology at South Australia's Flinders University from which he graduated in 1976. He then studied directing at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School.

Filmmaker Mario Andreacchio studied psychology before attending AFTRS. He directed a series of documentary shorts upon graduation before making his feature debut with 1986’s outback horror film Fair Game, working alongside cinematographer and former classmate Andrew Lesnie (The Lord of the Rings).
