The investment includes the acquisition of three additional BOBST EXPERT K5 Metallizers to be delivered over the next 12 months, marking a substantial expansion of Toppan’s production capabilities. As of today, Toppan Speciality Films primarily relies on BOBST metallizers for its operations – the purchase of the three new machines means the company is now home to eight BOBST metallizers.
It also includes a 700mm coating drum, the largest in the industry and unique to the EXPERT K5 which improves collection efficiency by 16% maximising productivity and providing production cost savings enabling Surya Global Flexifilms to produce high quality metallized films at a lower cost.
