Hiroyuki Kitazume (北爪 宏幸, Kitazume Hiroyuki, born July 24, 1961 in Tokyo) is a Japanese animator, manga artist and illustrator. He is often noted for his work with anime studio Sunrise. Helen McCarthy in 500 Essential Anime Movies commented that he "shot to fame" in 1985 as a character designer on the Zeta Gundam TV series.
Kitazume Hiroyuki is an animator and mangaka. Sometime in 1982-1984, he founded Pack with former Bevore employees, and later in 1987 Atelier Giga. After the production failure and commercial failure of "Relic Armor Legaciam", both studios would be dissolved shortly later, after amassing a massive debt from the project.
Hiroyuki KITAZUME is best known for being the character designer of Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack, Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ, Digital Devil Story Megami Tensei, and Bastard!!. Also known for being director & character designer of Robot Carnival.
