Drew Berry is a biomedical animator who creates stunning visualisations of cellular and molecular processes. He has won a MacArthur Fellowship, an Emmy, a BAFTA and other awards for his work, and has exhibited at venues such as the Guggenheim and the MOMA.
We have no ways to directly observe molecules and what they do -- but Drew Berry wants to change that. He demos his scientifically accurate (and entertaining!) animations that help researchers see unseeable processes within our own cells.
Dr Drew Berry is a researcher at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research in Melbourne, Australia. He studies the molecular mechanisms of cellular senescence and its role in ageing and disease.
