What I would have liked to have said is, I'm an animateur … An animator: one who breathes spirit, anima, breath, into things.”
A British producer and writer known for his wide-ranging influence behind the scenes on British arts for half a century, Kustow worked with organisations including the Royal Shakespeare Company, National Theatre, Channel 4 and the Institute of Contemporary Arts, and set up his own production company in 1990.
