Dennis Foon (born 18 November 1951) is a Canadian playwright, producer, screenwriter and novelist. [2] He was co-founder and artistic director for 12 years of Green Thumb Theatre in Vancouver, British Columbia .

Biography. I was born and raised on the northwest side of Detroit, Michigan, between 7 and 8 Mile. I was a good student at Winship Elementary.

Dennis Foon attained a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in religious studies and creative writing at the University of Michigan in 1973. He came to Canada in 1973 and in 1975 earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in playwriting from the University of British Columbia.
As co-founder and artistic director of Vancouver's Green Thumb Theatre for Young People, he had spent most of the past two decades revolutionizing Canadian youth drama.
