Lloyd Tevis (March 20, 1824 – July 24, 1899) was a banker and capitalist who served as president of Wells Fargo & Company from 1872 to 1892. He also co-founded the Pacific Coast Oil Company, the progenitor to Chevron Corporation.

Pacific Coast Oil eventually became the largest oil interest in California, and in 1900, John D. Rockefeller 's Standard Oil acquired Pacific Coast Oil for $761,000.
He was the leading projector of the California dry market and the California market in San Francisco; one of the promoters of the Southern Pacific Railroad and its president, 1869-70; president and principal owner of the Pacific Ice Company, and one of the first in California of illuminating gas.
