Sabina Murray (born 1968) is a Filipina-American screenwriter and novelist. She currently is a professor in the MFA Program for Poets & Writers at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Sabina Murray is the author of eight books of fiction including the novel Valiant Gentlemen, a New York Times and Washington Post Notable Book, The Caprices, a PEN/Faulkner Award winner, and the recent The Human Zoo.
Sabina Murray was born in 1968 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She is of mixed parentage—her mother a Filipina from Manila, her father a former Jesuit scholastic turned anthropologist from Boston. Her parents met in Washington DC, where both were pursuing graduate degrees.
