Michael Manheim grew up in California and Arizona, the trumpet playing son of a college professor. He was educated at The Verde Valley School and [[Harvard University] where he graduated with honors in Government, worked for Daniel Patrick Moynihan, and played first trumpet with The Hasty Pudding Theatricals Show and The Harvard University Band--including performing at Carnegie Hall. In 1972, Michael Manheim began his show business career as a production executive for David L.
