Marcos Arturo Beltrán Leyva (September 27, 1961 – December 16, 2009) was a Mexican drug lord who, alongside his brothers, founded and led the Beltrán-Leyva Cartel. Prior to founding his own organization, Beltran-Leyva was a longtime high-ranking member of the Sinaloa Cartel .
Marcos Arturo Beltran-Leyva, the leader of the ABL drug trafficking organization, was killed in a Government of Mexico operation intended to capture him in December 2009. Beltran-Leyva was said to be one of the most violent members of the organization.

Arturo Marcos was born on 12 October 1923 in Palencia, Castilla y León, Spain. He was a producer and writer, known for Adulterio a la española (1976), Nights and Loves of Don Juan (1971) and Un capitán de quince años (1973). He died on 27 May 2016.
