Ted Childs is a British producer, creator, writer, and director of TV shows and films. He is known for his work on The Woman in Black, Inspector Morse, Goodnight, Mister Tom, and Quatermass.
Ted Childs served as the Academy’s Chair from 1994-5. During his tenure he successfully dealt with a financial crisis that threatened the future of the Academy. In 1998 he was awarded the BAFTA Alan Clarke Award for Outstanding Creative Contribution to Television.
