Jean-Philippe Berger received the Ph.D. degree in astrophysics from the University Joseph Fourier, Grenoble, France, in 1998. He later joined the LEMO Laboratory at INP Grenoble as a French Space Agency Fellow to continue his research on the application of integrated-optics technology to astronomical interferometry.
