The Hornets confirmed the arrival of defender Ryan Porteous from Scottish Premiership side Hibernian in January 2023, on a four-and-a-half-year deal. A product of the youth set-up at Easter Road, Porteous spent a decade with Hibs, with the Dalkeith native having previously been snapped up by Aberdeen as a schoolboy.
