Feb 4, 2023 · The Portland stone, cenotaph-style Pembury War Memorial was dedicated in September 1921 by Rev H Sinclair Brooke. Rev. Brooke would have known many of the Pembury men who gave their lives in the First World War because he had been the Vicar of Pembury for the twenty years rom 1898 to 1918.
