   • The San Pedro is a wooden-hulled Dutch-built sailing ship. It was one of 21 merchant ships loaded with tanned hides, spices, jewels, silver and gold. The flota (fleet) was headed to Spain from Havana, Cuba in the summer of 1733, when a hurricane off the coast of the Florida Keys wrecked all but one of the ships.
