Max Bygraves, the veteran comedian, singer, actor and variety performer, has died. He was aged 89. Bygraves made his first appearance on stage at the Roxy Theatre in Falkirk in 1953, and, with his catchprase, “I wanna tell you a story,” went on to become a stalwart of British entertainment with a career that spanned more than 50 years.
