4 days ago · Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB, 日本野球機構, Nippon Yakyū Kikō) is a professional baseball league and the highest level of baseball in Japan. Locally, it is often called Puro Yakyū (プロ野球), meaning simply Professional Baseball; outside of Japan, NPB is often referred to as "Japanese baseball."
The last pitcher in NPB to do that was Kazuhisa Inao with the Nishitetsu Lions on Sept 1, 1968. This was also Morishita's 2nd "moudasho" game (3 or more hits) this season. The last pitcher do have 3 or more hits twice in the same season was Trey Moore with the Hanshin Tigers in 2002.

He actually had one more hit than he allowed the Swallows. He was the first pitcher to do both in the same game since Kazuhisa Inao did it in 1968.
