A promiscuous young woman struggles with her emotions when the one man she cares deeply about, her equally restless father, finally finds true love. During her nightly escapades Hemel searches for the difference between sex and love. Sometimes she leads, sometimes the men with whom she sleeps.
Hemel (Hannah Hoekstra) spends her nights searching for the difference between sex and love with many partners until she falls in love with Sophie (Hans Dagelet).

Hemel frequently has one night stands with strangers, just as her father often changes girlfriends. Since the death of the mother, the two of them have a close relationship which tolerates no real commitment. But when her father falls in love, Hemel finds herself struggling with her emotions.
