Jurong Junior College (JJC) was a junior college located in Jurong West, Singapore. It was the ninth junior college to be established by the Ministry of Education of Singapore.
Founded in April 1981, JJ was the 9th junior college in Singapore. In the beginning, the campus had to be hurriedly put together and despite the conversions to house a junior college, “the facilities were grossly inadequate”, according to Mr. Koh Beng Thiam, JJ’s first Principal.
Jurong Pioneer Junior College (JPJC) is a junior college in Singapore offering a two-year pre-university course leading up to the Singapore-Cambridge GCE Advanced Level examination. The college was formed from the merger of Jurong Junior College and Pioneer Junior College in January 2019.
Pioneer Junior College (PJC) was established in 1999 and opened its doors to its first cohort of students on 2 January 2000 at a holding site located along Science Centre Road, under the leadership of its first Principal, Mr Kwek Hiok Chuang.
