Sep 12, 2013 · After Viki uploads an episode, it gets divided into 5-6 parts. Then segmenters create segments (the little boxes where subbers can place subtitles). It can take 30 minutes to an hour to create segments in each of 6 parts. Usually there are several segmenters working on an episode at the same time.
Nov 9, 2023 · May I earnestly request that the Viki team work with the Language Reactor team to get them to make Language Reactor work with Rakuten Viki? You have such wonderful content for language study, but unless one is at an upper intermediate or advanced language level, without a tool like Language Reactor to allow one to collect words and study sentences, Viki is nearly useless as a language study tool, IMHO. Feb 18, 2022 · As many have already answered, one should switch to desktop view inorder to access viki website on mobile browser… and it works very fine… and i always use mobile for all my viki things, including subbing and watching dramas. i sub on browser and watch on app

Aug 1, 2020 · I know that Viki has changed its video viewing system over the past year or so. One option I don’t see is the option to change the streaming speed of videos, and the ability to change subtitle fonts and colors has changed as well. I just got a major overhaul of my desktop computer, and now all the websites where I watch videos are much better at streaming except for Viki which is much worse.
