Serampore College is located in Serampore, in West Bengal, India. Established in 1818, it is the third oldest college in the country after CMS College , Kottayam and Presidency College Calcutta, and one of the oldest continuously operating educational institutes in India. [1]
Senate of Serampore College was set up in the year 1818 by the pioneer of Christian missionaries. It aims at providing education in sciences and arts to students of every caste, color, or country. The college has attained the status of Deemed to be university by UGC.

The Serampore College Faculty of Theology remains as the Mother College founded by the Missionaries in Serampore on the fertile bank of the Hooghly River with an incomparable scenic beauty of nature and richness of heritage with gothic structures and buildings since the time of Danish rule.
