I keep getting EC:104 then I say restart app and it just stays on the restarting app screen. (cm edit - updating thread title) 127 people had this problem.

For EA App launched games, getting "Preparing Game" after hitting Play, then nothing. (I do occasionally see the "The EA App has minimized during gameplay" message in the bottom right, even though the app is still visible) For Steam launched games, I get "preparing game", the EA app closes, then reopens.
You can verify which gamertag you have linked up to your account by checking the Connections section on your account. If the correct gamertag is linked there, please also be sure your Game Pass membership is still active. View in thread. #2.
