Sep 28, 2018 · GMail will not work faster or better if you access it through an app. But if the app develops a bug or otherwise stops working properly, you won't be able to read your GMail. If that happens your only recourse will be to open your web browser and go directly to GMail. So why not go to GMail in the first place.

I installed Windows 11 on my laptop and now when I try to sign into GMail from either my laptop (Windows 11) or my desktop (Windows 10) I am asked to add GMail to my Google account. When I try to do that with my existing GMail account it tells me that the account already exists, which it does.
