I have everything ready in turbo tax as well to be submitted. I just wanted to know if I submit my taxes through turbotax now and get a NOA in a few weeks…. I’d then be able to make my new CRA account right?
Jan 18, 2021 · If you don’t know your password or questions you would have to re-register. CRA can only reset your attempts. If you re-register you’ll have access to all of the same information. Call CRA and they can unlock your account. But you can't change your security questions, you'll have to make another account.
May 2, 2022 · Just got off the phone with the CRA - they seem to be having some issues with their system as the lady on the other end wasnt able to log in to her end either. Sounded like it was a Canada wide thing.
Feb 27, 2021 · CRA locked account - my experience. I was one of the users who was affected by the recent 'data breach' which locked tens of thousands of people out of their CRA account. I haven't received any direct communication from the CRA in regards to this outside of the email that my email address has been removed from my account.
Feb 16, 2021 · ANSWER: 10,000 CRA account login were released on the dark web. You have to call in with SIN and a previous tax return. Change info and a security question. I'm not sure that's actually true. I've been locked out of my account 2 years in a row while trying to file my taxes while outside the country.
I just called CRA. The agent says the problem of ERR.210 is that in the past 3 years people did not file a tax return to the CRA. For new tax residents in Canada, people should file their first tax return to the CRA. After receiving the notice of assessment, they can register a new CRA account with the S.I.N. number.

(But that won't be a solution if you are trying to use your tax software's autofill option.) I’ve had zero issues using my desktop. Using my phone or iPad however hasn’t worked once.

Jan 31, 2024 · When you sign up for a MyCRA account, it's mailed to you at the address CRA has for you. Every two years or so after that, when you log in, they present you with a new 2FA card on screen that you're supposed to save and/or print. In other words, you get the 2FA for the MyCRA account from the MyCRA account.
Apr 22, 2022 · Received three emails from the CRA saying my Notice of Assessment for each year is ready to view in CRA My Account. I don't have paper copies of these NOAs. BUT I can't register for a CRA My Account without having filed my 2020 (previous) and 2021 (current tax year), it will show ERROR 210 until I file one of these two years.
