They’re scary. Wannabe gangsters / roadmen are only a danger to themselves. Roadmen = usually unemployed youth who fancy themselves as a gang member but would shit their pants one on one without their knife. Apart from the ones that actually are gang members who can be seriously seriously dangerous people.
May 2, 2021 · a "road man" is someone who "does road" (ie. criminal activity). stuff like drug dealing, etc. a few years ago "roadman" began being used by people from areas where the term hadn't been used previously as a black male version of the word chav. it's also now more recently used by these people as the latest incarnation of the word chav or even just to describe aggressive/unpleasant people. so it can be ambiguous and it's easy to understand how it has become a bit controversial.

There isn’t really 1 word that’s specific to Canada. Both got a large population of people from Jamaica, Trinidad, Guyana, Somalia n other countries.
