Rik Van Nutter, born Frederick Allen Nutter, (his name is pronounced NOOT-er) is an actor who portrayed C.I.A. Agent Felix Leiter in Thunderball, amongst many other roles. He was married to Swedish model and actress Anita Ekberg from 1963 until 1975. He was offered the part in Thunderball without an audition while having dinner with producer Albert R. After his great performance, Rik agreed to keep playing the part, but Leiter didn't appear in You Only Live Twice (1967) or On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969).
