Gerald Michael Gabbard (born January 15, 1948) is an American politician, serving as the Hawaii State Senator for District 21 from the Democratic party, since 2006.
Mike was born January 15, 1948 in Fagatogo, American Samoa, the fourth of seven children born to Benjamin Harrison Gabbard, Jr. and Agnes Yandall Gabbard, who also adopted a daughter. He was a U.S. citizen from birth because of his dad’s U.S citizenship. Mike and his father, Ben at Hickam AFB, 1951.
