May 22, 2014 · 2takesfrakes said: Gates McFadden was fired at the end of the first season because of head writer Maurice Hurley - "he had a real bone to pick" with Gates and didn’t like her acting. Berman brought Gates back for the third season after Hurley left. That's the polite version. Hurley was, indeed, the problem.

  2. Apr 2, 2008 · What they should have done was forget that "Yesterday's Enterprise" ever existed and redo it as a movie. Kirk fight fighting the Rommies (to save Klingons) in the 23rd century (big battle) entering a temporal rift emerging in the 24th century, encountering Picard during the alternate timeline...

  3. Apr 2, 2008 · Apr 2, 2008. #1. I'm packing up books in my "man room" to make room for Superbaby #2's crib and came across my copy of the novelization of Generations. 7. Apr 2, 2008 · Yeah I would have loved that, I always really liked the D'eridex warbird - it was just so big and imposing and would have been a great enemy for the Enterprise to fight without descending into ridiculous big black ship territory.

  8. Jun 20, 2020 · Jul 2, 2024. #20,066. Macintosh said: Apparently the genesis of Dixon Hill was Patrick Stewart and Maurice Hurley discovering they shared a love of Raymond Chandler novels, but based on what we now know about his character it made zero sense that Picard was into Dixon Hill. Given the events of Picard S2, Dixon Hill and other mystery novels may ...

  9. Oct 12, 2010 · Oct 12, 2010. #1. Budget constraints kept the Borg from being depicted as insectoids as Maurice Hurley had originally intended, though the hive concept survived to become the overwhelming group mind known as the Collective. The Borg were initially conceived by Maurice Hurley as a race of insects (which were shown in the TNG Season 1 episode ...

  10. Jun 7, 2011 · Has the plot to this script (or the script itself) ever been released? I was trying to look this up and didn't come across anything. Would be interesting to read an alternate Generations.
