Marc Laidlaw has a developer's note where he says cryptically that the Vorts in the mine you fight the antlions with use some phrasing that is Magnussen-esque, showing their connection to him. He (Marc) implies that Magnussen is the closest human to the Vorts besides maybe Gordon himself.
