Mace’s accounts show that over the year, the Group achieved an overall turnover of £1.7bn in 2020, representing just a 3% drop in revenue from 2019; as well as a 9% turnover growth for Mace’s consultancy business; from £314m to £342m.

Revenues in Mace’s construction business saw a leap in to £1.73bn (2022: £1.38bn), with a record 60 projects won over the year, worth £2.36bn. The Group also made a number of significant strides towards its 2026 Business Strategy targets in 2023, investing £68m in research and development, a near 20% increase on 2022.
2022 was the first full year of us delivering our 2026 business strategy. Set up to deliver against our ambitious targets, we accelerated forward with a clear purpose, drive and determination that cut through the economic challenges that the industry experienced.

Mace’s ranking reflects a year which saw the company grow its revenues to £1.97bn and its significantly expand the international business – making the company a major exporter of UK construction services.
