Jun 16, 2024 · giant goose. All of these are elements of a fine fantasy. Indeed, this was a fine fantasy.... until the last chapter. Maybe I'm totally missing the author's point, but for me the last chapter went 2001: Space Odyssey-level-weird, way out of bounds of the rest of the story, seemed to have no real connection to the rest of the story, and for me, pretty much ruined a book that I had enjoyed up to that point.
