Sep 25, 2023 · As announced on the official PlatinumGames X account, I will be leaving PlatinumGames on October 12, 2023. This came after a lot of consideration based on my own beliefs. and was by no means an easy decision to make. However, I feel this outcome is for the best. I will continue to create in my Hideki Kamiya way.
Dec 15, 2023 · Wonderful 101, Bayo 2, 3, Origins, and Astral Chain were work for hire for Nintendo. Although, I guess it depend on your definition of "work for hire". TBH Kamiya fell off the perch himself years ago tho. Platinum always has been a work for hire company, that's why they don't own most of the IP they worked on.
He was one of the original founders of Platinum and as a man who highly values creative freedom, he couldn't have asked to be a more advantageous position. In addition, when you consider how much Kamiya loves the games he makes, he's also walking away from Cereza and the Wonderful 101.

At launch, each of these games other than RE2 were cult classics at best, and his division of Capcom, Clover Studio, was disbanded.

Kamiya: - I haven't played yet (I only watched the gameplay videos) - Graphics are amazing. - The facial expressions are amazing. - Game design looks mediocre the same as usual. - Too many playable characters.
Nov 3, 2013 · Since you're trying to level the playing-field here by saying that Kamiya isn't like the previous celebrities I've mentioned and therefor doesn't have to play by the same rules, let me just point out that Masahiro Sakurai, Hideo Kojima, and Shigesato Itoi all have personal Twitter accounts and have never pulled anything like this shit even though you and I both know those guys get WAY, WAY more repetitively annoying/ignorant questions than Kamiya does.

He is known for being a bit of a ‘character’ and not very tolerant of people he thinks aren’t intelligent.
But even now, Kojima isn’t a Konami employee anymore. And now Kamiya isn’t a Platnium employee anymore. So from the article, it doesn’t seem like Kamiya’s position wouldn’t affect MGRR very much in terms of development, or even a potential sequel to MGRR. But of course, I get you used this as a way to justify your dislike of this game.
