  1. Dec 11, 2004 · Yep the Club 60 was another Sheffield Icon of the 60's. We went there a few times & I think one of the things I remember most about it apart from the great music was the musty smell & the darkness. As was said previously the tables were beer barrels. Good club & always plenty of people in it.

  2. Aug 23, 2023 · Sheffield Forums. Sheffield History & Expats. Club 60 Shalesmoor. Anyone remember Club 60 on Shalesmoor. It was in a cellar, I don't think alcohol was served but no one seemed to care. Many an happy Saturday night spent there in the early 1960s.

  3. Aug 23, 2023 · Club 60 was in the cellar of the former Acorn pub on Shalesmoor. It was still operating on the quiet until the building was demolished about 6 years ago. Before demolition the building was owned by ALD publications, who have a shop on Sharrowvale Rd, it was where they ran their printing machines. ALD sell a lovely illustrated book about Club 60.

Beighton Lifestyle Centre has Nia classes for 55+ and a knit+natter social group too.... as well as a very nice cafe ! Oh and sequence dances on a Thursday.
