  1. Jul 17, 2020 · If the new 1.30 burgundy ai coding is breaking the possibility of the Dutch Revolt happening then that is a problem. Either the ai needs to be blocked from negating Burgundian PUs when Charles the Bold becomes Charles the Idiot Who Takes on the Entire HRE, or the parameters of the Dutch Revolt need to be revised.

  2. Sep 20, 2022 · In the new patch, it seems that if Charles the Bold gets an heir, then the game automatically reduces that heir's claim strength every month until it drops to zero. At which point the Burgundian inheritance firing is all but guaranteed. I think the developers are railroading this too much.

  3. Oct 27, 2020 · The first problem with the Burgundian Inheritance is Charles is a "bold" leader meaning he will 100% declare at least one suicidal war. This could be against Liege (in the Empire), Province (allied to France) or Austria/England/France directly. 6. Jun 28, 2023 · In 1.35.5, Charles the Bold decided that the best time to attack me (England) was right after I finished the Hundred Years War and got a PU on France. So he ended up fighting against me, France, and my allies Austria, Castile, and the Pope. Burgundy didn't even call in any allies except its subjects.

  7. Apr 15, 2021 · The 'bold' is a bad translation anyway Also game balance: no more burgundy-liege wars (also make burgundy be able to conquer the low countries region without the emperor intervening thanks)

  8. Aug 19, 2023 · Charles the Bold & Louis the Younger seem to be the winners of this update frequently forming the HRE with the (inherited or conquered) lands of Lothaire II. If I interpret it correctly an emperor now can form the HRE - so forming Empire of Francia or Italia would no longer block you from forming the HRE afterwards.

Which seems very strange for an event about a succession crisis. So I propose that the ...

  10. Likewise, many italian condottieri fought abroad during the Quattrocento. Pippo Spano was the commander of the Hungarian army, Cola di Monforte served for duke Charles the Bold of Burgundy (Philippe de Commines esteemed that italian soldiers formed the bulk of the army of duke Charles) and Jacopo Galeota served the king of France.
