Jun 17, 2020 · A Better Tomorrow 1- More drama than action, the action scenes are doled out sparsely but effectively. I'd say it is 2/3 drama, 1/3 action. This is a crime drama with a handful of excellent action scenes peppered throughout a solid story.

My wife was in the mood for a Hong Kong style action film, so we started The Corruptor on Tubi. About 45 minutes in, we lost interest and decided we needed some proper Hong Kong action.

Sep 7, 2022 · The other two are just DVD upscales. on blu ray. Please do not buy any of them Blu-Rays. The 3 disc DVD set from Taiwan is still in print and available via eBay. They feature the original Mono audio (No added Sound and Gun fx) unlike the Blu Ray (s). Get the DVDs or wait for a proper BD WITH the original audio.

It's not as good as the first, if anything it's kinda a hot mess due to a lot of behind the scenes drama between John Woo and producer Tsui Hark. It's also the sort of movie that brings back characters who died in the first movie with the justification that they had an identical twin brother that no one mentioned in the first movie (seriously lmao.)
