Immaculate Conception is the oldest standing Catholic Church in Seattle. Founded by the Jesuit Fathers, the Church was built in 1904 and declared a Historical Landmark by the Seattle Landmarks Preservation Board in 1974.

It is because of Masses celebrated for Dignity in this cathedral that the Vatican first clamped down on that organization and disciplined Archbishop Hunthausen.
