Maharshi Dayanand University, established in 1976, is a leading University in the State of Haryana. The University was accredited with A+ grade by NAAC in March, 2019. Notably, the University is first amongst the State Universities of Haryana in the NIRF survey’ 2022, and listed in Top 100 Universities of India in the NIRF Ranking.
It was rechristened as Maharshi Dayanand University in 1977 after the name of a great visionary and social reformer, Maharshi Dayanand. It had a unitary and residential character in its nascent stage, but became an affiliating University in November 1978.
