Aug 30, 2021 · On August 26, 2021, the government of India unveiled the e-SHRAM portal for better execution of various social security schemes for the unorganised sector workers. e-SHRAM portal has been launched to build a comprehensive database of the unorganised workforce and will also help in delivering social security schemes implemented by the Central and state governments.
Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan-Dhan Yojana (PM-SYM) (Old Age Protection) Monthly contribution ranges from Rs.55 to Rs.200 depending upon the entry age of the beneficiary. Under this schemes, 50% monthly contribution is payable by the beneficiary and equal matching contribution is paid by the Central Government.
