Eva Colorni (1941–1985) was an Italian economist. Biography. Eva Colorni was born in Italy in 1941 to anti-fascist activists Eugenio Colorni and Ursula Hirschmann. Her father was a socialist philosopher, while her mother was a German-born economist that had fled Nazi Germany. Her father was killed by fascists during World War II.

In 1978 Sen married Eva Colorni, an Italian economist, daughter of Eugenio Colorni and Ursula Hirschmann and niece of Albert O. Hirschman. The couple had two children, a daughter Indrani, who is a journalist in New York, and a son Kabir, a hip hop artist, MC, and music teacher at Shady Hill School. Eva died of cancer in 1985.
The Eva Colorni Memorial Trust was formed in 1985 to commemorate the life of Eva Colorni, a valued friend and colleague. Eva, in addition to much else, taught Economics at City of London Polytechnic, now part of London Metropolitan University.
