The double agents, the femme fatales, the secluded island that holds the key to the mystery and the trickster who has been fooling everyone but is discovered only by the hero.
ANKHEN is a terrific Indian spy thriller with great writing, memorable character, sumptuous production design, an evergreen album, ever graceful Mala Sinha and Dharmendra at its hunkiest best. This was an early proponent of its genre with a big budget which was modelled on Western globe-trotting spy films, like James Bond, with a very Bollywood touch.
