Dil (transl. Heart) is a 1990 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film, starring Aamir Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Anupam Kher, and Saeed Jaffrey. It was directed by Indra Kumar in his directorial debut written by Naushir Khatau and Kamlesh Pandey, with music composed by Anand–Milind.

Summaries. A man pretends to be a rich industrialist to improve his son's chances of marrying in to wealth, but his plan backfires on him. Raja lives a poor lifestyle along with his dad, Hazariprasad and mom. He attends college where he has several run-ins with wealthy fellow-collegian, Madhu Mehra.
Raja's father is a miser while Madhu's wealthy father is proud of his status. When Raja and Madhu get married against their parents' wishes, their respective parents try to separate them.
