Saw Last Jedi in the theater 5 times (including opening night!) back in 2017 & went crazy for it. Finally getting to The Director And The Jedi doc so many years later feels just-right. Love Rian’s dominating vision (Carrie’s description) combined with the courageous subversive nature of his screenplay aimed not to minimize , but to elevate beyond the franchise’s existential limitations.
